Getting Started

Getting Started

Psychotherapy is an interactive process that involves identifying goals that you would like to work toward, and a willingness to try some new approaches to working through problems. Success often comes from dedication and consistency through the process, and applying the approaches outside of the therapy sessions to practice lasting change. Because everyone is unique, I tailor the approaches according to your goals and will talk with you along the way to make sure it is what you want. One of the most important aspects of successful therapy is finding a therapist that is a good fit for you. Do you feel heard? Are your issues being addressed in a way that works for you? It's important to pay attention to how you feel and find a therapist that you believe will be helpful.

About Me

Who I am

My name is Dr. Sarah Strader

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist, providing in-person psychotherapy in the South Bay and online psychotherapy within the state of California. I have over a decade of experience providing therapy, and I enjoy working with diverse people with a variety of issues. I specialize in working with those who were born highly sensitive, those grieving the death of a parent or loved one, and those struggling with stress, anxiety, and feelings of overwhelm.

While I mostly utilize T.E.A.M. therapy, (a holistic form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), I also integrate Psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems approaches. These approaches are highly effective and many individuals have seen improvements through our therapeutic work together.

I offer these effective approaches with a warm, gentle, and welcoming presence. I love being a therapist and helping others, and would be honored to help you reach your goals.
